Sof' Shoe® elastomer shims solve angular soft foot alignment problems on motors, pumps, generators, turbines, and other plant machinery
An inexpensive alternative compared to more time consuming and expensive options such as milling the base or foot, hand cutting graduated shims, replacing base, or rebuilding base with poured epoxy
Made of a proprietary elastomer with unique cold-flow and set characteristics to fill irregular gaps
Stable to 225°F
Each Sof' Shoe® elastomer shim's thickness has a 12% flat compression under standard bolt torque, yet will absorb the angularity of nearly half its thickness
Used together in the alignment process with stainless steel slotted shims
Blue Sof' Shoe® elastomer shims are 0.020" thick, compress to 0.0175" and absorb up to 0.010" of angularity
Yellow Sof' Shoe® elastomer shims are 0.045" thick, compress to 0.040", and absorb up to 0.020" of angularity
